Bowhill Primary School isproud to have achieved the Rainbow Flag Award. We are very proud to be only the second primary school in the South West to become involved with this award.
The Rainbow Flag Award is a national quality assurance framework for primary schools, secondary schools, SEND schools and colleges. The award focuses on positive LGBT+, (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, plus other related identities), inclusion and visibility.
The Rainbow Flag Award encourages a whole organisation approach to LGBT+ inclusion, as well as developing strategies to effectively challenge and combat LGBTphobic bullying.
These developments are very important to us as a school in order to improve the lives of all the children, families and staff we work with. We hope it will ensure that we continue to build a safe and welcoming environment for the whole community and fulfilling all our legal requirements.
